I’m driving through to Alabama and and came across this bakery as I was making some quick errands. I was amazed at their pastries. The almond cookies and almond croissant were perfect; the spinach quiche nice and flaky; the folds outstanding. They also have chicken salad, pimento cheese and some imported cheeses in the fridge. Hopefully i remember to stop on my way back and I can come prepared with a cooler to buy some more. I highly recommend this place. Especially to any travelers that want something better than the continental breakfast at your hotel. 🤣😂 UPDATE: Stopped again on my way back to Texas to buy a lot to take home. I wish they had some croissants but those sell fast. In addition to buying pastries I tried the chicken salad and a frozen tray of spaghetti and a couple of sandwiches (chicken salad and mufalata). The chicken salad croissant and the mufalata were delicious. The tub of chicken salad seemed a bit too salty and had a faint fishy taste kind of like crab/crawfish. I don’t like seafood and can taste that real quick. The spaghetti was real good.

Small little bakery with big flavor. I stopped at this little spot while traveling. ( they are located across a Starbucks) They had small king cakes which was the perfect size instead of buying a huge cake. They have a row of glass cases. I tried their chocolate squares! - delicious!! I wish I would have gotten more. I came looking for something lemon. They did not disappoint. They had multiple lemon options and I tried a few of them. They were all delicious! They had many options and I look forward oncoming back to try something else!

An outstanding cake 🎂 along with the best customer service !! I asked and they delivered, this cake was a caramel doberge with 80 icing roses, it was for my grandmother’s 80th bday. The cake was delicious 🤤 moist and sweet. We all loved it and I am still thinking about it over a week later!! Seriously if you’re on Google shopping around for cakes (like I did) stop here and order it!!! Oh and we added 80 candles bc why not lol. Thank you Poupart’s. Will definitely be back again

The dobash is a MUST! As is the traditional flaky pastry of the French king cake! I have tried multiple items over the last couple of months and haven’t had a bite of anything I wouldn’t love to eat again. The dips and sandwiches are all great! I buy French butter there for baking and cooking at home!

We ordered a two tier cake for a baby shower. The cake they made looked EXACTLY like the picture I provided. The cake was delicious, also.

I love this place. It's a tradition in my family, as we are fom Dallas. My mom brought me here when visiting for Mardi Gras. We now live in Sulphur,LA.20 years later, with a few visits under my belt I brought my 4 yr old and my husband this past weekend for a Valentine's treat!!They never disappoint. Their pastries are absolutely fabulous. You can't go wrong with the thumb 👍🏼 print cookies, the fruit tarts, and anything "almond butter"(I believe is what they call it) *chef kiss* 🤌🏼Can't wait to come back here!

This pastry café felt like such a relaxing place to spend a quiet morning. The croissants were buttery and flaky, the fruit tart tasted incredibly fresh, and the coffee paired perfectly with everything we ordered. Compared to larger bakery chains, the pastries here clearly tasted handmade and much more refined overall. The café itself had a calm atmosphere that made it easy to sit and enjoy breakfast slowly instead of rushing out the door. The employees were warm and welcoming without being overly formal, and it’s the kind of place we’ll definitely keep returning to on weekends.

Great selection! The pastries were delicious. There were a couple of places to sit inside, and my mouth was watering and wanted to try all of their pastries.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Poupart Bakery is such a gem in Acadiana. Family-owned and operating since 1967, you can really feel the history and tradition the moment you walk in. It has that charming old-world bakery feel with an incredible selection of pastries, cookies, breads, and desserts that make it hard to choose just one thing. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Out of everything I tried, the snickerdoodle and sugar cookies were my absolute favorites 😍 Fresh, delicious, and the kind of treat that disappears faster than planned. Definitely a place worth stopping in if you love authentic bakery charm and sweet treats. 🥐☕
